Community Involvement
My whole life I have been volunteering. My most rewarding experience was launching the Okotoks Downtown Revitalization Project, when the downtown business were struggling in 2012, and downtown was dying. What began as a local initiative grew into a full community branding strategy creating a shared vision not only for Okotoks but also for the surrounding area. Today, towns of Okotoks and Diamond Valley are striving!
For four years, I volunteered nearly 20 hours a week—meeting with business owners, conducting research, preparing council presentations, and developing branding taglines based on community surveys.
Through this work, I have often been on the other side of Council, presenting community ASKs and advocating for local businesses and town's prosperity.
Supporting Youth
As a sports advocate, I enjoy supporting our communities by:
- Donating to and participating in triathlons, Sticks on First for Youth Sports, and community runs.
- Hosting exchange students through the Rotary Club and local high schools.
- Coaching cross-country skiing, soccer, and basketball in schools.
- Substituting in local schools across Medicine Hat and Cypress County, where I connect with students at all levels and build relationships with their families.

Since 2019 I have served on the board:
- Decorating and posting information on Bulletin Boards
- Organizing Events: Easter Egg Hunt, Christmas Parade and BBQ Party
- Planting Christmas flowers
- Filling in for the secretarial position
- Managing DB Residents FB group
