While the residents support future development our main concern is the access to the new Phase 5 development. Meadowland is working on putting a proposal that will satisfy all Cypress County requirements, one of which is fire exit to be built. I will continue to keep Desert Blume residents informed about this matter.

Our main park was installed about 10 years ago and residents have expressed interest in updating it ( with multi-sports surface) and perhaps adding a splash park for little kids in the summer. I will look into ways to get this done, but it might mean it will be our community project.

Our HOA has been subcontracting planting flower and watering them in the summer. Residents have expressed interest in seeing the flower beds filled with more lush and low-maintenance perennials. Also, we are looking for volunteers to replace Dwayne taking care of green spaces - which is the best way to keep our taxes low. I will promote DB beautification on the Council.

South Boundary Road, from Rolling Acres Greenhouse to Highway 3, belongs to the City of Medicine Hat. Heron Crossing residents have wished building a trail that connects their area to Desert Blume for couple years now.
The trail is planned to be constructed through the joint efforts of the City of Medicine Hat and Cypress County. This will be a great project!
